Comedy’s significance speaks volumes, as it pertains to some current issues in U.S. society.  Freedom of speech is touted as being an ideal that contributes to a particular way of life, yet we fail to evenly distribute those freedoms throughout society.  It is important to acknowledge the fact that today will become tomorrow’s history.  In the future, researchers will look back and document the dark periods of comedy that took place during the  “21st century.”  That moment is historic. Four Five Funk chronicles this time period in history.
